Rename PSD [Photoshop Script]

Okok. This is not a real rename script.

Nonetheless I use it a bunch! I have it hotkeyed to f2, and whenever I want to rename my document WOOSH. F2 that doc! Right after I enter in the new name at the prompt, I "cmd S" (which runs my free save script), and BAM. ITS DONE. I HAVE RENAMED. (or atleast it feels like it)

However, this script does not rename the document! It's just not possible in photoshop! The closest thing we can do is "Duplicate file as chosen name-> Save&Close original document". And that's exactly what this script does.

Installation Instructions

To install, put it in whereverphotoshopisinstalled/Adobe Photoshop version/ Presets/Scripts/_filegoeshere_

Reset photoshop, and done! If you would like to run it, you can click File->Scripts->"nameOfScript". To add a shortcut for it, assign at Edit->Keyboard Shortcuts->Application Menus->File->Scripts->"nameofScript"
